It’s rare that I photograph a wedding at a venue I’ve never been to before, but after hundreds of weddings captured over the years, Marla and Adam brought me to a new venue for me. It’s a hidden gem in the heart of downtown Michigan City, Indiana.

The church’s historic Romanesque architecture, with its stone interior and timeless atmosphere, creates a reverent and meaningful setting for the ceremony. Barker Hall is the adjoining Gothic-style space filled with natural light and classic design.

Trinity Church and Barker Hall are connected, so it was a quick jaunt down the hallway for the ceremony. The wedding party made their way down the aisle, culminating with the bride and her Father.

After family group photos inside the church, we utilized all of the elegant spaces inside Trinity Church as well as the unique rooms of Barker Hall for creative wedding portraits of the couple.

Barker Hall at Trinity Episcopal Church offers a warm, inviting reception space that blends historic character with understated elegance.
Featuring very high ceilings, classic architectural details, and ample natural light, the hall offers a versatile setting that can be tailored for both intimate gatherings and larger celebrations.
It’s a great atmosphere for dining, toasts, and dancing.
