When people visit downtown Crown Point, Indiana, they will see Molly the Trolley cruising around the Square. If you were dining out or shopping this past Saturday, you may have seen Megan and Fred on board the iconic people mover.
Molly the Trolley is a charming, historic trolley operated by the Crown Point Community Library and the City of Crown Point. It is also available as a wedding limousine.
This couple’s love story was entirely set within the historic city in Northwest Indiana, with bridal prep at Megan’s parents’ home on the north end of the city and photos of the bride and her bridesmaids done right off of Summit Avenue.

The ceremony and reception were held inside the Hall of Justice, which is adjacent to the old Lake County Jail and Sheriff’s House where Depression era gangster John Dillinger escaped.
I met up with Fred and the groomsmen as they arrived (via trolley), and after the ceremony and family groups, we traveled around the downtown Square for photos.

The interior of the Hall of Justice retains courtroom elegance—with a marble dance floor, 7-foot crystal chandelier, brass candelabras, and 10-foot gold-framed mirrors, evoking grandeur and nostalgia.
Megan and Fred, along with their guests, celebrated into the summer evening, the distant sound of fireworks from nearby neighborhoods filling the air.
