I’ve been photographing weddings at Aberdeen Manor for many years now, and I’m happy to report that the newly remodeled bridal suite and groom prep room are complete and can comfortably accommodate the entire wedding party—makeup, hair, and dress preparations, and most importantly, foosball.

With Abby on one side and Ben across the hall, I was easily able to cover getting ready for both of them.

There’s something timeless and romantic about outdoor wedding ceremonies at Aberdeen Manor in Valparaiso, Indiana. The garden courtyard is a picture-perfect —framed by lush greenery, flowering trees, and a classic white pergola that serves as the ceremony backdrop.

From a photography and logistics standpoint, Aberdeen Manor is incredibly well-designed. The proximity of the garden courtyard to the indoor chapel and reception space allows for easy transitions throughout the day. This layout gives me as the photographer the freedom to move between locations quickly, ensuring I don’t miss a moment.

The surrounding architecture and garden paths also provide built-in photo spots immediately after the ceremony, making it easy to flow right into portraits while guests enjoy cocktail hour nearby.

Contact Me

I utilized the elegant garden and the nearby lake bridge for a variety of visually rich wedding photos. It also offers couples a sense of escape—a chance for the married couple to soak in their nuptials and have some romantic images captured at the same time.

Summer wedding receptions at Aberdeen Manor are the perfect blend of elegance and celebration. The Grand Ballroom offers an inviting, light-filled space with sparkling chandeliers, high ceilings, and classic architectural details that feel timeless.

As a photographer, I love capturing the the elegant beauty of the ballroom.

As beautiful a wedding venue it may be, this doesn’t mean couples and their guests do not let it rip on the dance floor. Abby and Ben and their friends and family certainly did!
