As soon as I walked into the bridal suite of White Oak Farm Venue in Michigan City, Meghan and her bridesmaids greeted me warmly, matching the summer temperatures outside.
When it was time for Meghan to get into her dress, she and her mom made their way into the beautiful farm loft, where we also did bridal portraits and two first looks.

I photographed Matt and the groomsmen in the billiard room behind the Cedar Barn where the bridal prep was.
It was a mix of laughter, quiet nerves, inside jokes, and shared memories unfolding in a relaxed, often chaotic atmosphere. From helping each other with cufflinks and straightening ties, it was the perfect scene for candid moments to photograph.

Sweeping views of lush fields and mature trees frame the deck of the Cedar Barn at White Oak Farm. The deck creates a peaceful, intimate space where vows are exchanged under open skies.
The barn's natural wood tones blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, giving the ceremony a warm, rustic elegance.
Guests enjoyed a much-needed gentle breeze on this warm summer day and panoramic views, while the couple stood against a backdrop of pure Midwest beauty.

Venturing into the woods for wedding portraits is always worth it, and I’m so glad that Meghan and Matt decided to do so. The quiet serenity, filtered sunlight, and textured greenery create a natural, timeless backdrop that simply can’t be replicated.
There’s a certain magic that happens when couples step away from the crowd and into nature—moments feel more intimate, genuine, and grounded. Whether it’s a stolen kiss on a winding path or laughter echoing through the pines, woodland portraits bring out a wedding day's raw, beautiful essence.

The wedding reception was inside the Cedar Barn at White Oak Farm. The barn’s soaring wooden beams, warm ambient lighting, and spacious layout created a cozy yet elegant atmosphere that instantly welcomed guests.
As the music kicked in, courtesy of The Party DJs, laughter filled the air, and the space came alive. The long farmhouse tables, flickering candles, and twinkle lights added to the magic.
As the twilight hour approached, I took the couple outside on the back deck for a blue hour wedding portrait.
