Sunset at Lake County Fairgrounds after a Fall wedding.
When I walked into the Industrial Building at Lake County Fairgrounds for Shelby and Steven’s Fall wedding, I said “wow, this looks fantastic”. They and their vendor MB Events did a fantastic job turning the vast multi-purpose building into an elegant wedding venue.
So many Autumn details were on hand at this October wedding that I immediately got to work photographing them as well as the couple’s getting ready photos.

Anna and Peter traveled from the Washington DC area to have their wedding near the bride’s hometown. Many guests traveled from the east coast and elsewhere around the country for the couple’s October wedding at Lighthouse Restaurant in Cedar Lake, Indiana.
I handled groom prep as well as bridal prep as the solo photographer for the day. Peter and his groomsmen got ready at the Crown point home of the bride’s parents with Anna and her bridesmaids at the bridal suite at Lighthouse Restaurant.

We began our day with bridal prep at the couple’s new home with Lydia’s sisters and mom on hand to assist in the morning bridal prep.
DJ met up with us at County Line Orchard for a first look / reveal with his bride. After a few detail photos of him making last minute wardrobe adjustments before we set him up to see Lydia.
We then walked all around the rustic Midwest wedding venue taking in all of the Fall color for outdoor wedding photos. Autumn leaves crunched beneath our feet as we strolled the apple orchards looking for beautiful wedding photo locations.
We nabbed a few wedding party group pictures outside the grain silo and a few of Lydia inside and then we left for Munster Church for the ceremony.
This was my first time photographing a wedding at Munster Church and it was a great experience. The balcony provided us a great overview of the wedding ceremony and the exit directly onto Ridge Road attracted a lot of horn honking and just added to the excitement of the day.
The wedding reception took place at County Line Orchard in Hobart, Indiana. The iconic Midwest wedding venue featured the sought after apple donuts for dessert.
The balconies and wooden stairways allowed me to capture the dance floor fun from many different angles with 27 Entertainment providing the musical entertainment.

Fall color finally arrived in Northwest Indiana for the Fall wedding of Colette and Jared at Briar Ridge Country Club in Schererville, Indiana. October 31st made even more “spook-tacular” although the couple refrained from a full on costume party at the reception. They did however, provide enough candy and other treats to rival many tick or treat bags.
We started off in the bridal suite with Krissy V. enhancing the beauty and soon wedding coordinator Hannah from Enchanted Events was on the scene as we made our way from a series of first look reveals, culminating with the groom.

We had some yellows and intense orange Fall color on hand as well as a dramatic array of cloud cover at times. It made for a wide range of looks.

The guests who love candy and sweet treats did not need to worry that they were missing out on Halloween night. A treat table was on display. During cocktail hour a warm fire was lit in the lounging area as Jim Bulanda sang the songs of Frank Sinatra and others for a very classy pre-dinner social hour. 27 Entertainment had the dance floor rocking.
