It was a lovely Fall wedding day for Erin and Jennifer with family and friends filling Trinity Lutheran Church for the ceremony and a packed dance floor at The Market in Valparaiso.

Fall color finally arrived in Northwest Indiana for the Fall wedding of Colette and Jared at Briar Ridge Country Club in Schererville, Indiana. October 31st made even more “spook-tacular” although the couple refrained from a full on costume party at the reception. They did however, provide enough candy and other treats to rival many tick or treat bags.
We started off in the bridal suite with Krissy V. enhancing the beauty and soon wedding coordinator Hannah from Enchanted Events was on the scene as we made our way from a series of first look reveals, culminating with the groom.

Our groom arrived dressed and ready to see Colette for the first time. The golf course made for a great backdrop as they came together for the first time on their big day.

We had some yellows and intense orange Fall color on hand as well as a dramatic array of cloud cover at times. It made for a wide range of looks.

The intimate wedding ceremony took place just outside of the ballroom at Briar Ridge Country Club with afternoon sun streaming in upon the outdoor nuptials.

The guests who love candy and sweet treats did not need to worry that they were missing out on Halloween night. A treat table was on display. During cocktail hour a warm fire was lit in the lounging area as Jim Bulanda sang the songs of Frank Sinatra and others for a very classy pre-dinner social hour. 27 Entertainment had the dance floor rocking.

Julia and Evan were surrounded by Fall color at their wedding at The Spa in Porter, Indiana. This wedding reception venue is nestled in the woods off of Rt. 20 next to The Spring House Inn.
As guests arrived for the ceremony glasses of cocktails awaited them and the flower girl practiced her dance moves as "ring security" looked on.

This was truly an International wedding as the bride is from England as were a number of the bridesmaids. Julia's family made the trek over as well. After the ceremony we took family photos and then I took the newlyweds around the picturesque area where Autumn leaves were strewn everywhere.

While first kisses are required wedding photos, my favorite is the moment right after the kiss and this jubilant couple did not disappoint.

The reception saw the bride wielding a knife, lots of laughter during the toasts and happy tears as well. Oh, and delicious cupcakes too!!

The reception was a rocking good time with plenty of line dancing and some special moments with father and duaghter and mother and son.

Moms of the bride and groom hold a picture frame in front of their kids on wedding day.
Today is a celebration of mothers of the bride, mothers of the groom, grandmothers and brides who are moms!! One of the more traditional wedding photos I will take during the course of the day is moms helping their daughter prepare in the morning. I feel for these ladies because often time they haven't had the chance to get ready themselves and here I am focusing my lens upon them as they assist in all of the prep work.

Sadly, sometimes moms or grandmothers have passed away and we photograph a tribute to them. For the mother of the grooms, the mother / son dance is usually the most emotional moment of the day.
