I was recently asked to do promotional photos and videos for the recently remodeled historic Barker Mansion. They had seen my wedding images there and loved my work. It was an honor to be invited.
I thought this would be a good time to do a wedding venue spotlight since the 100+-year-old building is now open again and booking weddings and other events.

Outdoor Wedding Ceremonies At Barker Mansion
The enormous courtyard is where outdoor wedding ceremonies occur. There are also many photo opportunities with a fountain walkway and the wonderful brick building as a background.
One of my favorite ceremonies at the Michigan City attraction was held at Twilight.
Getting Ready Inside the Mansion
Inside the historic building, there is a bridal suite and a groom's suite. These rooms offer an opportunity for day-of prep and are also suitable for elegant wedding portraits.
Portraits Inside Barker Mansion
Having one’s wedding photos taken inside the exquisite rooms of Barker Mansion can be beautiful. The Libray Room, The Drawing Room, and the middle staircase are some of my favorite areas for wedding portraits inside Barker Mansion.
Wedding Receptions At Barker Mansion
There is covered area adjacent to the main courtyard where wedding receptions can be held with a dancing and DJ area.
