In honor of Mothers Day coming up this Sunday I thought it would be great to gather together a few of many wonderful moments of mothers of the bride I’ve captured over the years.

Above is the classic mom tending to the dress photo. Now, I do believe Francesca’s mom actually did secure her dress at this wedding, but sometime we bring in mom right at the end to take the picture credit. Shhh…. don’t tell anybody!!

Tell mom she can’t hide from me even during the ceremony. And if she opens a letter from her son and loses it, well….. And tell her to be prepared to be a hand model for the tying of the dress. :)

Today is a celebration of mothers of the bride, mothers of the groom, grandmothers and brides who are moms!! One of the more traditional wedding photos I will take during the course of the day is moms helping their daughter prepare in the morning. I feel for these ladies because often time they haven't had the chance to get ready themselves and here I am focusing my lens upon them as they assist in all of the prep work.

Sadly, sometimes moms or grandmothers have passed away and we photograph a tribute to them. For the mother of the grooms, the mother / son dance is usually the most emotional moment of the day.
