Seth and Kaylie were struck not only by the elevated comfort food at Lincoln and Wicker in Schererville, Indiana, but also by the classy, romantic atmosphere that Chef Jay and his team brought to the room.
They thought it might make the perfect backdrop for their engagement session, and the newly opened dinner-and-brunch restaurant agreed.
Designing an engagement session around a date night at Lincoln & Wicker is all about leaning into what already feels natural for the couple—connection, conversation, and a little indulgence. Instead of stiff posing, the evening unfolds organically: sharing cocktails at the bar, laughing over small plates, slipping into quieter corners for intimate moments, and strolling the aisles of wood furnishings between courses.
The warm lighting, rich textures, and upscale atmosphere helped elevate my goal of giving the session a cinematic, storytelling feel that reflects not just how the couple looks together, but how they are together on a real night out.
