Chad and Stefanee brought their Mexican and Jewish families together for an outdoor wedding ceremony inside the Room of Trees at County Line Orchard in Hobart, Indiana.
Jewish wedding ceremonies are steeped in tradition and have been observed for centuries. Chad and Stefanee made this wedding their own but opted for a few traditions:
Ketubah Signing: The couple signs a ketubah, a traditional Jewish marriage contract, before the wedding ceremony. The ketubah outlines the groom's responsibilities to his bride, including providing for her and honoring her.
Breaking of the Glass: At the end of the ceremony, the groom breaks a glass with his foot. This tradition has many interpretations, but it is often seen as a reminder that marriage, like glass, is fragile and must be treated with care.
Horah Dance: The Horah dance is an exuberant traditional Jewish wedding dance, typically performed in a circle by the bride and groom and their guests. During the Horah dance, the bride and groom are lifted in chairs high above the circle, symboling their joy and celebration. This dance is a time-honored tradition that has been passed down through generations.
On Chad’s side, his grandfather leads the way during the tequila train at the reception!!

First Looks
Stefanee had a first look with her son Max and then with Chad, who gave her a surprise gift.
Portraits
We utilized the front and back of the big red barn for the couple’s portraits before the wedding party group photos in front of the barn. Soon the tractors would arrive to pick up guests and take them to the Room of Trees, where officiant Kelly would marry them.
Ceremony
Spiderman made appearances during the wedding processional. The groom gave tips on finding good deals at Menards during the vows as the flower girl drank lemonade from the refreshment booth.
All ceremony (and reception) decorations were made by Stefanee and were adorned with butterflies.
The breaking of the glass was captured on video for the couple’s Short Film. And with that, it was family photo time, and then back to the barn for the party.
Reception
Sometimes the party spilled outside where traditions and celebrations were already underway before the lights were dimmed for the Horah dance, first dances, and open dance floor.
We did find time to sneak out at twilight for a blue-hour portrait under the night sky.
You will have to trust me that the house was a rockin’ as the tequila train checked into the station, but the conductor chooses to remain anonymous and will not be making an appearance today in this sneak peek look at Stefanee and Chad’s June wedding at County Line Orchard. ;)
