I consider The Design Barn in Hebron, Indiana, a modern wedding venue, in that it has all of the niceties for a successful wedding day, and yet, a vintage charm, thanks in large part to the incredible efforts of the design team there (hence the name) and the location, the farm fields of Indiana, just off I-65.
Before I show you and tell you about the incredible couple, their friends, and families, I photographed there, Design Barn blew me away for the following:
Climate control for comfort in all seasons
Spacious, well-lit getting-ready suites
Full-length mirrors and salon-style stations
Elegant indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces
On-site reception hall with customizable layout
Large dance floor and DJ/stage area
Outdoor lounge or cocktail patio

While I was on one side of the modern barn with Meagan and her crew, the guys were prepping across the hall. Soon, we would have a first look with Dad and then a vow reading before the main event.

I’m not sure if Meagan’s dad is a car enthusiast, but I knew the bride was a fan of the vintage VW bus parked on the patio, so this became the location of their first look. It was a wonderfully emotional moment, and the vintage aesthetic proved to be a lovely backdrop.

Meagan and Tim were married in an airy ceremony space beneath the open sky at The Design Barn in hebron, Indiana. We were surrounded by open fields and gentle breezes in the peaceful Northwest Indiana landscape.
The newlyweds had some fun with the ring exchange while friends and family looked on. It was the perfect blend of sophistication and simplicity.

I had an incredibly good time with Megan and Tim’s wedding party, who not only brought the fun but were extremely helpful in tending to the couple’s needs for the day. It was a very warm early October
day, and they took it all in stride.
We photographed both inside and outside the venue, culminating in golden-hour portraits that glow with warmth.

The Design Barn in Hebron, Indiana has a great celebration space. Inside the barn, soft string lights and elegant chandeliers cast a warm, romantic glow over polished wood beams and open rafters.
Guests can mingle between the indoor reception area and the outdoor patio, where the countryside views stretch into the horizon. It’s the perfect mix of Midwest hospitality and contemporary style.
