I recently got the chance to revisit the picturesque Silver Lake Beach in St. Joseph, Michigan after having shot a wedding there three years ago.

This time I was with Kayla and Zach for their golden hour/sunset beach engagement session.

We started out with some casual strolls on the sand as we waited for the deep orange sunset to arrive. The bride and groom-to-be were up for anything, including twirling on the wet shoreline and later on, getting into the Lake Michigan waters for some splashing.

I even got the chance to sneak in a few silhouettes.

Engagement Photos In The Water Of Lake Michigan

We were going for mostly candid engagement photos during golden hour, but I wanted to get a few with our couple and the deep orange sunset on this beautiful summer day.
