The Pavilion At Sandy Pines is a great Northwest Indiana wedding venue if you love the outdoors. This country club / golf course is beautifully landscaped and for Chris and Maureen’s June wedding we were certainly able to show all of the beauty.
Of course, I had plenty of beauty in the subjects I had this day all the way from bridal prep to groom prep to the friends and family. Love, friendship and family was definitely;y in the air (along with a few raindrops).
As usual, I covered prep inside the gorgeous bridal suite with Maureen on the first floor and Chris on the second floor.

First Look
We had a wonderful reveal as Maureen walked through the path to meet up with Chris for the first time on wedding day. They embraced as family looked on and then we were off for photos around the beautiful golf course wedding venue.

Outdoor Wedding Ceremony
Raindrops started falling just as guests were about to be seated for the outdoor wedding ceremony. Of course, going underneath the pavilion with guests seated at their reception tables was an option.
After much discussion, a few dry towels thrown into the mix and a check of weather radar, the decision was made to go for it outside. It all turned out great!
Dad officiated and family members stepped up for readings while umbrellas were put to use occasionally.
As the bride and groom exchanged their vows, emotions came forward - from laughter to a few happy tears and the first kiss and… celebration!
Reception
As I said previously, if you love the outdoors your will love The Pavilion At Sandy Pines in Demotte, Indiana as your wedding venue. This outdoor trend continues with a reception room that is open air - meaning it has a roof but open sides so you feel like you are outside while eating dinner, socializing and of course dancing.
If weather gets bad, there are blinds that come down along the sides.
There was no need for this at Chris and Maureen’s wedding reception as weather cleared.
Desserts were available on each entrance and 27 Entertainment was on hand to keep the crowd on the dance floor.
Before it got too dark, I stepped outside with the newlyweds for some blue hour wedding photography.
