Top Outdoor Wedding Venues In Northwest Indiana

Although Northwest Indiana weather is infamous for being volatile, we actually have quite a few outdoor wedding venues. I’m going to take you on a tour of a few of these in this article.

Keep in mind that many banquet halls in the area such as Avalon Manor, Villa Cesare and more have outdoor gazebos available to you. However, in this article I’m going to concentrate on those that are known for their outdoor beauty and photo opportunities on site.

Some of these venues even have open air reception areas to keep you covered and yet give you the feeling of the outdoors.

Warren and Emily’s summer wedding at The Pavilion At Sandy Pines in Demotte, Indiana had everything going for it - wonderful candid moments, emotional first looks, a fun wedding party, supportive families and more. This made for a great showcase of the hybrid photo / video coverage that I do. Of course, it could not hurt that every time I turned around there was another great moment to be captured.

Thornton Distilling Company is a rustic wedding venue in Illinois and is quickly becoming a favorite Chicago area wedding venue that is also in close vicinity to Northwest Indiana wedding clients.

I’m sure Chloe and Jeremy chose it for it’s old world charm, craft spirits and old and modern cocktails. Oh, and the bridal suite and groom’s quarters are spectacular - great size and comfortable. They could be event spaces of their own.

Winter Engagement Session At Milton Lee Olive Park

A bride to be is lifted in the air at Milton Lee Olive Park in Chicago, Illinois during an engagement photo session.

The wind had kicked up a notch during Lina and Carlo’s engagement session at Olive Park and Navy Pier in Chicago making for chilly temperatures but it gave even more incentive for this couple to snuggle up close.

We started out at Navy Pier where we captured the iconic ferris wheel as well as various viewpoints overlooking the lake and back toward the city of Chicago skyline.
