Most of all, a good travel companion must be selected!! All this and more was accomplished at Emily and Todd's engagement session at Porter County Municipal Airport in Valparaiso, Indiana. Outdoor Wedding At Lake County Fairgrounds

Rachel and Bob had beautiful, clear skies for their outdoor wedding at Lake County Fairgrounds in Crown Point, Indiana. The outdoors theme was on display with the groomsmen's vest and the western boots of the bride and bridesmaids.

Our day started with getting ready for the girls at a farmhouse in Lowell, Indiana. A lot of laughter and (happy) tears as Rachel prepped with her MOH helping her along the way.

The outdoor wedding ceremony took place by the famous covered bridge as friends and family sat on hay bales. The bride and her bridesmaids arrived via a tractor hayride. Vows were spoken, rings exchanged and Reverend Doug pronounced the happy couple as husband wife. After family pictures, we all boarded the hayride and took a tour of the fairgrounds taking pictures along the way.

The girls' dresses and flowers matched the theme and the season and the guys could have gone hunting at anytime...

The reception started in the late afternoon and the orange and yellow Fall colors filled the room. As night fell, the first dance began and it was a party, complete with an erasable chalkboard for "old school text messages".

Summer Wedding At The Allure in Laporte, Indiana

Jessica and Cody got creative for their Labor Day weekend wedding at The Allure in Laporte, Indiana. The bride showed off a "comic book" bouquet of flowers and the groom had his own robot for a ring bearer!! Our day started in the spacious bridal suite of The Allure where Carrie of Sta Glam did make up and one of the bridesmaids styled the girls' hair.

Cody waited for Jessica at the bottom of the staircase at the east end of the beautiful Allure ballroom during their first look / reveal. It was a wonderful moment as they saw each for the first time on wedding day. Then it was onto bride and groom photos around the ballroom and some fun shots at the bar with the bridesmaids.

Jessica looked resplendent in her wonderful dress and I knew I wanted a shot of her from the balcony out into the spectacular designed floor of The Allure.

The afternoon ceremony saw the rings delivered by a "robotic ring bearer" and had the guest looking down the aisle. Cody was all smiles as Jessica was escorted toward him for their vows.

After family photos it was time to begin the party. Hugs abounded during the toasts and bodies contorted during the dancing and delicious deserts (they had their own room) were served as well. Add some wine, beer and champagne and a merry time was had by all!!

Outdoor Wedding At White Hawk Country Club

The song Here Comes The Sun was going through my head all day as I photographed Amanda and Zach's outdoor wedding at White Hawk Country Club in Crown Point, Indiana. It was quite the bright day in every respect - from the golden sun in the sky to the laughing faces of the bridesmaids as I greeted them that morning to the joyous looks of family and friends during the outdoor ceremony. Let's take a sneak peek look at their big day!!

We started out at Vanis Salon in Valparaiso and made our way to the bridal suite of White Hawk in early afternoon. I covered the girl's getting ready as second photographer Bridget covered the guys.

I took the girls and guys out separately for photos as golfers drove by offering their congratulations. The groomsmen were able to borrow some clubs and onto the course we went.

The outdoor ceremony took place at the gazebo at White Hawk Country Club and saw an SRO crowd of friends and family as the couple were married. We immediately started family pictures and then I took Amanda and Zach around the golf course.

I decided to take advantage of the tremendously bright day as Amanda and Zach took a romantic stroll along the rolling hills of the golf course backlit by the golden hour sun.

We had to let the flower girl get her camera time in as well as the wedding party together. White Hawk Country Club has a beautiful pond with rocks as well as the lovely greenery all around the golf course.

Bundt cakes - this is all that needs to be said about the reception!! Okay, there was a bit more - such as the emotional first dances, the garter attached to a frisbee and the competitive bouquet toss. Oh, and there was plenty of dancing too!!
