Outdoor Wedding At County Line Orchard

August 16, 2016 Steve Vansak

The bride and groom embrace deep within the apple orchards at County Line Orchard.

From gala apples to apple cider to the explosive entrance of the bride and groom at their reception all the way to the sparkler send off in the rain - Valoree and Taylor's outdoor wedding at County Line Orchard in Hobart did not disappoint.

Our day started off with plenty of laughs as I covered the bridal prep.  Valoree and her girls were in great spirits (ahem), as they sipped champagne from their vanity glasses.  I learned what 'chambong' means and a good time was had by all.

The County Line Orchard bridal suite is located within the grain silo and is the prefect location for getting into the dress.  The wonderful light illuminating through the curtains really showed off Valoree's beauty as she posed in front of the large mirror.

I then took the girls out to the apple orchards for some fun wedding party photos.  The guys arrived soon after and I did the same for them.  Soon it would be ceremony time!!

The ceremony saw guests nestled between the apple orchards and fields of corn.  The signature lemonade stand was available to quench one's thirst along with personalized fans to tame the summer heat.  Little Taylor let everyone know that the bride would be walking down the aisle with her Uncle in a few moments.

The "tractor limousines" took guests back to the barn for cocktail hour as I took family pictures and then photos of the couple.  Rain had been on and off all day, but that played to our favor with some great dramatic cloud cover as the newlyweds kissed in the apple fields.

Valoree and Taylor exploded out of the gate at introductions and then cut their cake.  Apple cider was at every table and the couple had their very own Snapchat filter for tech savvy guests along with a whole bunch of rustic decor.  The groom was a lucky man as the bride and her female friends serenaded him on the dance floor.

The rain was back for the sparkler send off, but nothing could deny the incredible spirits of Valoree and Taylor and their friends and family.  What a great day and night it was!!

Lake Michigan Beach Wedding

July 25, 2016 Steve Vansak

The bride and groom embrace on the beach after their summer wedding ceremony.

Ashley and Justin were married in a beach wedding ceremony in the garden at Whiting Lakefront Park.  This beautiful location is right off the shores of Lake Michigan with the Chicago skyline able to be seen on clear days.

This beautiful summer wedding began at an area hotel with bridal prep.  One of our flower girls was prepared for this sunny day with her Hollywood sunglasses!! Second photographer Bridget captured the guy's getting ready along with their superhero shirts exploding from their suits while I captured the bride and her mom illuminated by window light.

Before taking off for the shores of Lake Michigan and the beach wedding ceremony, the bride and groom had their first look / reveal at the hotel.

Whiting Lakefront Park has a beautiful garden area that overlooks the lake.  The stone sidewalk enables the wedding party to elegantly walk out with full view of all of the guests.  Just beyond the gazebo, the skyline of Chicago can be seen.

We took family wedding photos in the shade of the gazebo and of course then made our way all along the beach for wedding pictures with the entire wedding party and then romantic bride and groom pictures all along the shore of Lake Michigan.

Ashley and Justin's summer, beach themed wedding continued with dinner and dancing at Villa Cesare in Schererville, Indiana.  The room had a wonderful beach colored glow to it as guests sang songs to the bride and groom to encourage them to kiss.  The photo booth saw children of all ages getting into costume and a future Olympic gymnast took over the dance floor...

Summer Wedding At The Patrician Banquet Center

June 13, 2016 Steve Vansak

The bride and groom kiss with a sun burst in the sky above them.

Carla and Rob had a wonderful, nautical themed summer wedding at The Patrician in Schererville, Indiana.  It was a steamy 96 degrees, but they didn't let that keep them from their outdoor wedding in front of the gazebo.

Temperatures were a lot cooler in the morning as the bridesmaids took over the bridal suite in the loft.  Carla's dominant blue wedding color showed off prominently in her garter and we used the twin as a prop for detail pictures.

The bridesmaids blue dresses were stunning.  They were a great bunch as I took them out in the heat for some fun wedding photos.  Second photographer Kerrie and myself took the guys out next and then it was ceremony time.

Happy tears began falling as Carla and Rob were married underneath the bright, glowing sun. They poured sand to symbolize coming together and marched back inside the Patrician where we began family photos.

After some fun wedding party photos at the back gazebo, I whisked the bride and groom away for a little while and had them take a romantic stroll along the rustic fence and winding road. Since the sun was so bright in the sky, a romantic silhouette of the two of them seemed in order. Soon it would be time for introductions, dinner and dancing!!

Rob's father carried out the couple's little boy during introductions and Carla and Rob cut their nautical themed wedding cake.  Party time saw photo booth props hit the dance floor and a soul train plowed through The Patrician Diamond Room Ballroom.

Outdoor Wedding In Cedar Lake, Indiana

September 9, 2015 Steve Vansak

The bride and groom unfurl their Thank You banner.

We'd almost forgotten to take a photo of the thank you banner.  Why?!!  Because the location of Katie and Logan's outdoor wedding in Cedar Lake afforded us so many areas for great wedding photos that it was almost too much.  Every ten feet was another terrific opportunity to capture the newlyweds and their wedding party.  This is definitely not a complaint as we certainly enjoyed our time at their family friend's estate in Cedar Lake, Indiana.

The morning started out in the wonderful main house where we alternated between detail photos and Katie and the girl's getting ready.  It was a morning full of laughs, some tears and smiling babies too!!

The wedding dress awaits the bride.

Soon it was 2pm and the ceremony was about to begin.  Guests had taken a shuttle in and Katie was all dressed and ready to walk down the aisle...

The bride is ready to walk down the aisle.

The outdoor wedding saw bright sun falling upon the front terrace courtyard.  All eyes were upon the ring bearer who appeared to be protesting the 91 degree heat by NOT holding up his sign.  That's okay, we understand.  Katie and Logan's vows were heartfelt and often full of humor.

After the ceremony and family pictures, I decided to give everyone a cool down by going inside the home with it's unique decor and various levels.  We took the bride and groom as well as the wedding party photos all over inside the home.

After we all freshened up a bit, we went all around the grounds taking photos in the great outdoors.  Katie and Logan are big nature fans so I'm glad we were able to capture all of these (and many more to come) outdoor wedding photos.

The groomsmen and bridesmaids having fun.

Katie and Logan's family and friends certainly came ready for fun!!  Polish dances to Go Pro dance floor fun and the family tradition of drinking gin and tonic from a fish bowl kept us on our toes to capture all the fun!!

The bouquet toss saw a creative attempt to snag the prize to no avail.  I give her props for the effort though!!
