Summer Wedding At The Pavilion At Sandy Pines

A romantic moment between the bride and groom on Sandy Pines golf course.

We had sun, we had rain and we even had a rainbow at Cody and Elizabeth’s summer wedding at The Pavilion at Sandy Pines.

We started inside the beautiful bridal suite which is a building onto it’s own with the bride and her squad downstairs and the guys up above.

Our first emotional moment of the day occurred with Elizabeth reading letters from her parents as well as the groom. Then came the first looks with Dad as well as Cody.

After our wonderful reveals, I took the couple all around the Sandy Pines golf course area for photos and then back for wedding party group photos and family group shots.

We certainly had a good time with the wedding party with lots of laughs and booty bumps for all.

We had a rain delay that held up the ceremony for a few minutes but that played into our favor as you will see later.

I’ve done many Greek weddings and with the bride having some of that heritage in her family it wasn’t a shock to see some circle dances with money being showered upon the newlyweds.

The Pavilion was decorated so elegantly with tall centerpieces overlooking the guests. The desserts were homemade and the cake reflected the groom’s (and latecomer the bride) affinity for fishing.

And then, it happened…. a rare opportunity to photograph the bride and groom with a rainbow overlooking the ceremony area. So out we went onto the damp sidewalk for a slow dance between the newlyweds as the rainbow shined overhead.

July Wedding At The Pavilion At Sandy Pines

Darkness fall as the bride and groom slow dance at The Pavilion at Sandy Pines.

What a glorious summer day we had for Kaite and Aaron’s July wedding at The Pavilion at Sandy Pines in Demotte, Indiana. The verbal golf course wedding venue did not disappoint with it’s beautiful bridal suite and landscaped grounds.

As usual the bridal prep and groom prep took place in the spectacular bridal suite building. I handled the moment getting ready while photographer Kerrie photographed the guys.

Top of the line vendors such as Make Up Krissy V., Top Knot Bridal and Tastefully Katie were on hand to bring out the beauty.

Afterwards it was a series of first looks…

Kaite and Aaron put a nice twist upon a first look or bridal reveal by including their daughter. Both were super sweet moments.

After our first looks / reveals, we did bride and groom portraits along with the entire wedding party and family as well. This allowed our newlyweds to relax after their ceremony and enjoy cocktail hour with friends and family.

The outdoor wedding saw the bride walked down the aisle by her mom and the couple dropped a traditional pouring of sand or unity candle for a brand new tradition - the making of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich!!

The Party DJ’s provided the soundtrack for intros into reception dancing where the groom had a dance off with his ring bearer. A slideshow of memories played while mom and bride looked on and of course, guests rocked the dance floor and ate some delicious desserts. I may have had a lemon bar or two myself!

Golf course weddings are a great way to have built in photo opportunities into your wedding day with their professional grade, scenic landscaping. Of course, a wedding at The Pavilion at Sandy Pines brings this and much more including the spectacular bridal suite.

In the case of Amanda and Ben, it also helped that the groom and his groomsmen are avid golfers.

October Wedding At The Pavilion At Sandy Pines

Amanda and Ben had a crisp October day for their outdoor wedding at Sandy Pines in Demotte. The golf course wedding venue was the perfect spot for the groom, an avid golfer. While he and the guys were out on the course, I was inside with the girls as they got ready for the big day.

I was greeted by Make Up by Krissy V. and Under the Veil as the stylists as well as the bride and her singing bridesmaids.

The bridal suite building is perfect for bridal prep as well as an upstairs area for groom prep. The kitchen is always well stocked and the gigantic Subway subs are always a fun prop for me.

We had two first looks in a row - first up was Dad on the porch of the bridal suite and then with the groom.

We then ventured out onto the golf course as well as the wooded areas surrounding it for photos of the bride and groom. From candid moments to dips on the green to showing off the bride’s dress from Something Blue.

We then returned to the bridal suite for wedding party group pictures.

The wedding party was waiting for us when we arrived back and after these set of pictures it was time for family photos. Guests then began arriving for the ceremony.

The ceremony was “unplugged” which kept the congregation focused and involved and not on their cell phones. After Amanda and Ben were pronounced man and wife, we went onto the course for a few golden hour pictures as the sun set. Then it was straight into cocktail hour, dinner and then the dancing began.
