The wind had kicked up a notch during Lina and Carlo’s engagement session at Olive Park and Navy Pier in Chicago making for chilly temperatures but it gave even more incentive for this couple to snuggle up close.
We started out at Navy Pier where we captured the iconic ferris wheel as well as various viewpoints overlooking the lake and back toward the city of Chicago skyline.

Chicago is open again and it is as wonderful and romantic as ever. I recently spent a lovely late afternoon with Melissa and Mike exploring various parts of the city and taking pictures to celebrate their love and togetherness.

We actually started our day in the Loop at the Chicago Board of Trade building and eventually made our way up north to the nature boardwalk and ending this Chicago engagement session with photos at sunset on North Avenue Beach.

I had a terrific Spring day with Erika and Mitchell in Chicago for their engagement session. The wind was actually unusually calm for Chicago until we brought out their wedding date sign and then whoosh, typical Windy City!! :)

We definitely wanted to get a Chicago cityscape shot with their Save the Date wedding banner. This is when our wind kicked in, but with a little patience we got the 10-20-18 to display. The iconic skyscrapers of Chicago of course, are always a breathtaking backdrop.

Mitch just happened to have some Chicago Bears jerseys in his duffle bag (wink-wink), so why not stop by Soldier Field for some football themed engagement pictures. It was literally 71 degrees and sunny as we took our first photo and then suddenly without warning, a swirling wind came off the lake and it was 60 degrees with clouds. Ah Chicago - you are beautiful, awesome and unpredictable!!

After some quick football practice we were back downtown and ready to board the train back to Indiana.

Carla and Rob told me it was important that they go to a Chicago beach for their engagement session and that they show off their bright blue anchor that is adorned with their wedding date.
We started their Chicago Engagement Session by boarding the South Shore train and taking shots with the city as our backdrop. Our adventure for their engagement photos saw us making our way toward the Chicago River and ending our session at North Avenue Beach.
