The wind had kicked up a notch during Lina and Carlo’s engagement session at Olive Park and Navy Pier in Chicago making for chilly temperatures but it gave even more incentive for this couple to snuggle up close.

Of course, the three of us had our jaw drop as we saw a person actually swimming amongst the icy patches of Lake Michigan. Brrrr…..

We started out at Navy Pier where we captured the iconic ferris wheel as well as various viewpoints overlooking the lake and back toward the city of Chicago skyline.

The sun was in and out on this winter day in Chicago and while we were hoping for a sunset over the city view at Milton Lee Olive Park it peaked out just as it was setting low behind the buildings.

It still gave us some golden hour light and we were able to capture some fun moments between the soon to be married couple.
