Wedding At Public Landing In Lockport, Illinois

I spent a gorgeous September day documenting Kenneth and Dana’s wedding at Public Landing in Lockport, Illinois. There was a hint of fall color with a few falling leaves and some orange in the surrounding trees.

Bridal prep was at the couple’s nearby home with a first look in the courtyard of Public Landing, a rustic and historic building.

I met up with Kenneth and his sons for some groomsmen detail photos and then it was time for our first look.

The courtyard at Public Landing is a beautiful area that is quite popular among Illinois wedding photographers. We took advantage of the scenery and pleasant temperature for wedding portraits until it was time for their late afternoon outdoor wedding ceremony.

Ceremony

The outdoor ceremony was a quaint gathering of 60+ people close to the couple with the historic Gaylord Building as a backdrop. Afterward we took family group photos and then headed inside for dinner, dessert and dancing.

Dana and Kenneth took a liking to my blue hour wedding photos as seen here, so we made sure to head outside at twilight for some beautiful and unique wedding portraits.

Reception

The reception saw a bundt cake awaiting the couple along with lots of mini bundt cakes for the guests along with pure sugar candy for the littlest of guests. The dance floor was rocking and our beautiful day turned into a beautiful night.
