Love Sac Furniture

As a lowly wedding photographer (lol), it's not often I hear compliments on my furniture.  However, as I was scouting shooting locations at the Valparaiso Chapel with my clients Chris and Elise, they mentioned my groovy Lovesac Foam Chair.

They were eying it up when they dropped in to discuss their wedding photography with me.  It's a very young modern look that you might like for your new place together.  Think Bean Bags, but not cheap or cheesy.  I just thought I'd share.  Have a look at what they offer at The Lovesac Website.

Bride's Little Sister

Every once in awhile I like to showcase my other work.  Since it's been raining High School Seniors around here the last two weeks, here are a few images from those sessions.

The photograph above is Maryah who came to me through her mom, who was the Maid of Honor at Carol and Shannon's Wedding.  We did studio and location shooting and went from "pretty shots" (see above)  to more gritty, urban images as pictured below.

These on location shots were taken in downtown Crown Point, Indiana.  On Thursday night there are a lot of cool cars parked around the Square so we could not resist taking some of those.

If you are a bride with a little sister / brother or cousin, send them my way.  Be sure to tell them about The Chicago Sessions: Senior Style.

Baseball Bride

The baseball season is under way and wedding season is about to begin as well.  If you are a fan, why not incorporate your sports fanaticism into your wedding photos.  This is just another example for my "think different" week.

My clients Megan and Austin will be trekking up to Wrigley Field with me this June to take their engagement shots.  Their wedding is next October.  Perhaps their beloved Chicago Cubs will be in the World Series at this time and they will want to celebrate with some baseball related fun wedding photography shots.  Those would look great in their wedding album next to the engagement images at Cubs park.

I'm not saying to bring grandma and grandpa out to the local sporting facility for formal family shots, but for a few fun couple's images, I say go for it.  For engagement shots as well, think of a passion that the two of you share and let's try something with it.  Even if it's ice cream at Dairy Queen.  That could end up being your favorite photograph.  You never know until you try.

Bride Runs Over Grooms Ex With Car

Okay folks, if you do this at your wedding - I WILL take photographs of it!!  Enjoy...

HYANNIS, Mass. (AP) - A newlywed Massachusetts couple spent their wedding night in separate jail cells after police said the bride tried to run over an old flame of the groom.

Police say 22-year-old Hyannis resident Marissa Ann Putignano-Keene tried Monday to run over the other woman and the woman's son in a parking lot. The intended victim later told police that she had previously been in an intimate relationship with the groom.

Police say the couple got married at Barnstable Town Hall and split a bottle of Champagne afterward.

The bride was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Her husband, 37-year-old Timothy Keene, was riding in the car with her and was charged with disorderly conduct.

Both were released Tuesday. It was unclear if either had hired an attorney.
